Day 3 - Ramblings

This city is very beautiful! We have done so much already. Yesterday we visited the two of the highest points in Paris. The first one was “Montparnasse”. It is a very modern building that is full of offices. Here are a few pictures from the viewing room. We went to the very top as well, but it was a little windy.

There is bread everywhere. I don’t think the protein craze is in Paris. In fact the sandwich I had today had some very thinly sliced meat in it. I have to wonder if the French people would be taller if they ate more when they were growing up. Their word for a large portion translates to “greedy portion” I feel like I can only survive on greedy portions or I will starve. Their yogurt here is very very good. Again, it is always in very small portions, but probably the same amount of calories. They do not use just milk to make their yogurt they use cream as well. It’s very yummy. BUT I must, have to, and feel compelled to mention that Paris is not better than the US and the US is not better than Paris. They are different, and that’s ok. I hear the phrase out of some of my fellow classmates about how much better French things are; how the French know what they are doing; how the Metro is better than public transportation back home… but I have to say to myself “oh whatever” They are different and if you wanted me to make a list of what things could be changed about Paris. I would have a list, and the top of that list would be the BO that is found on the metro… I know that not all of the people on the trains have BO. But whoever that one person is that keeps stinking up the place, he or she needs to shower a little bit more!!
