More rambelings

HEY!

Tonight we go to the Opera... Its a new show that has not been written 200 years ago. It should be fun and user friendly!

I took 123 pictures yesterday alone. I need to update this blog and give you all something to look at, but I have a hard time finding the time. Anyway I love, love, love it here!!! And I love my class at the College! The teacher is very very nice and very energetic. She puts so much energy in to what she does and she does not speak to us in English. So the entire class (except about 4 or 5 total words) are all spoken in French. OH and by the way I found some "heavy" french people... HA HA so much for the "they are all skinny in Paris" no, no, let me tell you there are some big ones too! :) Actually there are a lot of skinny people, but its more that they don't work out with much weight. They either run a lot or don't work out at all. OH and another odd thing... There are American movies advertised everywhere. They are the same posters I see back in the States just with French words on them. There is a whole lot more English spoken here that I expected. ANNNNDDD... for the most part people are very kind. All you have to do is remember to say Bonjour Madame or Bonjour M., and they are at your service... Well most of the time... :) There was this one time though, one of my new friends did not quite catch on to what our french guide was tiring to say... :) He is one of those proud people that thinks he understands everything and anything... ya know, a male teenager... He is always telling me "NEVER say this to the French"... "NEVER do that in front of the French"... It will make them angry he says... (hee hee) OK back to the story: he was on the wrong side of the divider to the line. She was motioning that he could just cut in front of the others and walk back to our group... sorta like entering the line from the wrong end.. Well my new friend just stood there... she smiled and made the same gesture with her hand again... Still smiling she gestured again, then again... My friend does nothing like a lost sheep on the edge of a cliff. Then she gave up. through her hands in the air and rolled her eyes.. I laughed and laughed (after she could not see me) I thought it was so so so funny... :) So long story short you really can't know what do to in other countries... you have to just play it by ear and do your best not be get offended....

OH and another word about B.O. I don't know who he is.. but that same guy or gal with the B.O. that messes up the Metro everyday... well he or she must have been in the supermarket today... UGH!!! LOL LOL.... Today I smelled a cologne "Fahrenheit" by Christian Dior at a Metro stop. I don't know who it was. It was probably some man that was just running by. I normally hate the smell of it. BUT I was so much nicer that the B.O. that I was actually pleased to smell it :)

Well I have to run already and get ready for the Opera and meed up with some new friends.

I had to sit by someone at school once how had REALLY BAD B.O. and it gave me a headache as well as made me nauseated. Anyways, I have to go now. Ttyl.

Hi Jason,
It's me Bro David. Hope all is well and your having fun. We miss you and are currently camping at Lake of the Springs outside of Marysville. It has been over a 100 degrees ever day since we've been here. Hillary and friend played tennis this evening and David and I played shuffle board. Aunt Sara and Missy stayed in the trailer with the air conditioning on. God bless you.

PS;I called Cord** this evening and she said to tell you " hey"

This Opera was actually quite bad... Very "de classé" It was a really sad story about how a young man becomes corrupted... In the end he shoots the man that helped him become rich and corrupt. The girl he fell in love with has her first born with his uncle.. He marries her, then she dies while giving birth to a boy that is not his.… He takes the baby and wraps it up in his coat and abandons the boy… It is not said but it appears that this is what his father did to him and his father before him and etc etc… so that it seems like it’s an unending cycle… Our hero does not break the cycle he only shoots people and they shoot back.. and they all die. THEN the next act they are all going up to heaven, heaven is after all a better place…. BUT they some how missed that liars and thieves and murders wont be going to heaven… Unless they are repented and born again of course, but the play write does not know ANYTHING about the bible… so in his version of what is possible they all go to heaven.. OH and to make things worse the whole thing is set to circus type music.. Complete with very modern instruments. The instruments are not bad in themselves but they were microphone and they were way too loud… If you are in Paris this summer don’t make it this opera that you see!!! :)
